Recent Trips
In this section I will highlight the recent trips we have been on. I will supply pictures whenever possible and describe in detail the events of our trips. The links at the bottom of this page will guide you to past trips. Once a new trip is done the previous trip will be moved to this section.
On our most recent trip we went to Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada. It's only a four hour drive from our house and we have been there before. However, we have not been there like this before. Let me give you the events :
July 3 1999 : We leave after I get off work at around 3:00 PM. We head straight for The Town Of Jasper. We stop in Hinton, AB for a bite to eat and then continue. As we approach the park gates we come across a construction crew working desperately to regain control of a stream which has over run it's banks and is threatening the hi-way with flooding. We arrive at the gates shortly there after and find the gates closed and deserted. We continue to Jasper. We check in at our hotel, The Sawridge, and head to our room. On the way we notice the pool and the hot tub.
We decide to get in a late night swim and soak, so we head down to the pool at 9:15 PM. What a way to help you sleep. Not that the fresh mountain air didn't help.A quick walk around town to check out the shops and we head back to the hotel. We then watch about thirty minutes of TV and hit the sack. End of day 1.
This is our room. Nothing fancy but very nice.
